Oribotics at Tokyo Design Touch was the Japanese premiere of oribotics. Shortly after arriving the title shifted from oribotic オリボティクス to oribo オリボ or even better to include the kanji for fold「折りボ」 (like aibo or asimo) a very cute name with a rounder sound.

The installation design is an IKO4 mero dome with a plastic facade and is the most sophisticated exhibition design ever tried with oribotics. The atmosphere inside the oribo-dome was a full field of view of geometry and oribotics. Quickly indrawn breaths followed by an enthusiastic 'sugoi' (trans. incredible) were heard frequently from the Japanese on approach.

The expertise and enthusiasm of the Ars Electronica Futurelab, Hakuhodo, and Tokyo Midtown team made the entire exhibition a truly memorable experience.
